Yellow gummy vitamins (not the other colors).
Black and white photos.
Thumbelina and The Little Red Hen (not the other fairy tales).
Fire trucks and firemen.
Bob the Builder.
His buddy boys.
Stories about our family (“just make them up”).
Yogurt with honey (“all ‘mixeded’ up”).
Tea with honey.
Chocolate ice cream with chocolate sprinkles (can’t remember the last time we had that, but he talks about it everyday).
It has been warm and sunny, cold and windy; fall and winter.
The kids have been loving playing in/with a giant cardboard box, with flashlights, and with the trains and tracks.
“Bee lets clean up our mess, ok?”
“That’s not how you do it Bee, let me show you”
And other such encouraging phrases have been overheard.
There have been time outs for both kids (!). Evie is in to it and when she is being naughty will go happily to time out and sit quietly. She’s hilarious.
Lars constantly amazes and confuses me and each day and hour are unpredictable. The littlest things can take the longest time. There is resistance to almost everything.
He loves school and when I picked him up yesterday he was cleaning up the building site where he and his “buddy boys” had been building.
Bee is hilarious lately! Full of little “jokes” - or things she thinks are funny. Like:
“I nurse? I nurse? Noooo. Babies nurse? Yeaaaahhhh.” With giggles.
Or hitting me gently on the shoulder then chin waving to make me smile. This is totally like a sour patch kid commercial and even though it’s hilarious I don’t really like it at all. Especially the hitting.
Me: what should we have for dinner?
Bee: poop (haha, giggles)? Noodles? Noodles hot?
She burned her tongue the other day and has since been obsessed with foods being hot. “This hot? This hot? This ummy (yummy)?”
She’s talking a ton and it is some funny stuff.
She knows a lot of the Cat in the Hat. We read it a lot. A lot.
There’s a name (the only, so far) that we like for the baby.
His initials would be FUN.
His initials would also be F U Nilsson.
Is that terrible?
Can’t decide if it’d be badass or terrible.
Yes, we could always do a different middle name.
